Small Group Obedience Classes
Two convenient Portland locations in Northeast, No Bonz About It doggie day care (3351 NE Sandy Blvd) and Southeast, Howliday Inn doggie day care (940 SE Madison).
Ain't Misbehaving offers both beginner's and advanced obedience classes. We use reward-based training methods with positive results which are fun for both you and your dog.
We offer small group classes so you and your dog can benefit from more individual attention.
Our obedience classes give you the tools to teach your dog the basic commands so they can be well-mannered, gain confidence and have a safe environment to learn essential socialization skills.
Beginning Obedience
6 one-hour classes: $145
This introductory class builds a strong foundation of basic commands, discusses dog behavior and the prevention of unwanted habits, and starts to develop dogs' attention span.
Recommended for puppies over 12 weeks, adolescents and young dogs who have had no previous formal training.
- Sit, down, stay, wait, watch
- Recall: teaching your dog to come when called
- Leash manners
- Discuss the prevention of unwanted jumping, chewing, house-soiling
- Socialization
Come to the first class without your dog.
Advanced Obedience
5 one-hour classes: $155
The advanced class builds on the basics and is designed to work on developing your dog's attention span, as well as incorporating distance and distractions. Emphasis is on extensive recall and leash work, including outside classes (weather permitting).
Recommended for dogs who have completed a beginner's obedience class.
